The trust has worked on the concept of Self-Help Groups
(SHG) for women to initiate financial saving activities,
building awareness on various environment issues and
self-confidence. |

Maitree |
Maitree
is a non-government organization working for the senior
citizens in Pune area. The organization is engaged in
helping and caring for the aged and isolated people.
Some of their major activities include, providing recreation
and bringing joys into the life's of old and forgotten
people. Maitree organizes cultural events free of cost
for the senior citizens.

Regular house visits by the Maitree volunteers are conducted,
to have direct interactions with them in order to understand
their needs, pain and give them the much needed companionship
and solace. The NGO also raises funds by organizing
activities like lectures and music concerts and the
proceedings of the same are used for medical care and
surgeries as well as providing medical equipments such
as hearing aide etc for their target group. |
